Biography
Don Hynes, husband, father, and grandfather, lives and writes in his adopted hometown of Portland Oregon.
His first book, "Slender Arrow", was published in 1998, and is now in it's third printing. "Out from Under" was released in 2001, and a third volume to complete the series is underway.
While poetry has been his lifelong avocation, Don has also been a tradesman, builder, and presently construction manager / Owner's Representative for an Oregon non-profit.
Artist's Statement
Poetry lives at the intersection of the inner and outer landscapes, the mandorla, or meeting place, of the intuitive and observable. I write to bring these spheres into correspondence
and conscious relationship. When the poem is "on", it honors the invisible through the visible, nurturing both soul and spirit.
