February 11, 2005 The Bush Administration's failure to supply timely or candid information to the 9-11 Commission is widely known. However, their specific abuse of the classification procedure to retain evidence of NSA chief Condoleeza Rice's possible knowledge of Al Qaeda and terrorist planning against the US in the very way enacted on 9-11 came to light through the recent release of archival documents just 4 (convenient) days after Ms. Rice's confirmed nomination as Secretary of State. Representative Waxman, one of the very few in Congress who is willing to hold the Administration's feet to the fire in terms of even marginal honesty is again holding the Administration accountable and calling for a further Congressional investigation. *** |
